When I write a song, it’s usually very personal and revealing of private feelings and experiences. I feel that it helps us to connect and realize that we all share common feelings and experiences. When we lose a loved one, or have been hurt in a relationship, we can feel all alone and suffer for a long period of time; or even hold on to bitterness or other feelings that only hinder other relationships and our own personal growth. I believe the first step in healing over anything is recognition and admission, which flows into an openness for dialogue to transpire and then eventually healing can begin.
As a songwriter, baring my soul and revealing private feelings has helped me heal and thus move on to healthier and happier times for myself and in relationships. It takes being vulnerable, and vulnerability takes trust, and trust is the cornerstone of a healthy relationship with anyone. I hope these songs help you and your loved ones express love openly and draw you close together.
