"James Linton combines classical technique with a pop format to obtain dazzling results." - Arizona Republic

"James is a real class act!" - Wayne Newton

James Linton's Song of the King debuted on KJZZ, Phoenix late December 2007. Song of the King is Linton's third instrumental guitar release in just four years. Linton not only creates great listening music, but is amazing to watch. "I can't believe that's one guy playing," is a common comment from spectators at his live performances. Linton is classically trained but appeals to cross over genres because most of his young adult life he played lead guitar and sang for rock bands. This multi-talented artist is an amazing guitarist, composer, and singer-songwriter. He arranged, recorded, engineered, produced, mixed and mastered his latest Latin Jazz recording, Song of The King.

Linton grew up in Detroit performing electric guitar and vocals at venues like Harpo's and the State Theatre and toured the Midwest. All the while, he continued to play classical guitar until he outgrew rock and turned his attention to classical and Latin Jazz full-time. Though James' focus is on instrumental guitar music, he still enjoys working on vocal projects. James teamed up with producer, Billy Smiley, formerly of chart topping Christian rock group White Heart to collaborate on the I Will Fly release. Smiley has recorded and produced over 20 billboard hits. James' undeniable package of talents as a writer, singer, and instrumentalist; have placed him at the top of many industry insiders "Who to Watch " list.

James has opened for entertainers like Peter Frampton at the Temecula Balloon & Wine Festival, aired a live concert to over 1 million listeners on CSN radio, and made 6 live appearances on Good Morning Arizona. He was the only entertainer at Scottsdale's - Make a Wish Charity event hosted by Wayne Newton in 2005.
